 It is bad on the part of Govt., PM, DM and the FM not bothered about the happenings in the Jantar Mantar.

ANOMALY AND DISCRIMINATION IN FIXATION OF FAMILY PENSION FOR JCOS AND OTHER RANKS.

The formula for Normal family pension as per VIth Pay commission is

60% of the maximum pension of the Rank and Group of the pensioner , irrespective of the date of retirement/ discharge.

There  was only one Rate for each Rank and Group-

Ref:  CDA cir 397-Annexure- III  for PBOR and Annexure- II for Officers

 dated 11-11-2008.

There was only  one Rate of Family pension  for each Rank and Group for PBOR  and Commissioned officers.

Now as per the latest Cir 500, the method is followed for Commissioned officers.

But for JCOs and Ors, the method is changed. Cir 502. So many rates for the same Rank and group , the length of service is taken into account.

It is contrary to  circular- 397-Annexure-III.

This is a new concept – It is disadvantage  and instead of enhancement  it is a reduction.

The pension for Pensioners is calculated on the Maximum fitment formula  but the Family pension is calculated on the minimum fitment  for PBOR.

But for Officers, it is correctly  calculated on the maximum fitment formula.-

IT IS A DISCREMINATION.

Illustration:

Eligible Norms:   F.P  = 60% of the Maximum pension of Rank and Group of the pensioner  irrespective of the date of retirement.

Example;  For a Rank of Sergeant-  X Group: 

Maximum fitment  - cir 471= 18290  and Max.pension= 18290/2=9145

So Family pension as per norms=   9145 X 60%= 5487-…………………….(1)

This should have been arrived and only one Rate for   Sgt-Gp-X.  No QS applied. 

But as per Cir 502, they have arrived the rate as per minimum fitment formula.

i.e    for  Sgt- Gp-X   = 14890   and pension- 7445.

So  family pension -  7445 X60%= 4467. This is the min, FP…………….(2)

See the difference  =    5487-4467= 1020  .

Not only this, it is calculated according to Rank, group and length of service as per CDA cir 502.

It is contradictory to Cir 397- Annexure-III. 

Whereas   for Officers, it is correctly  arrived- CDA cir 500, the Method of Cir 397.

For example:  For  a Rank of  a Major

Fitment Formula  :  36410     Max pension= 36410/2= 18205- (cir 500)

Family pension= 60% of Max.pen=  18205 X60%= 10923 ( cir-500-Annexure-A)

There is only one rate.  As good as Cir 397- Annexure- II.

We request all our ESM Associations to take up the issue with appropriate authorities  for the benefit of widow pensioners..

This anomaly and discrimination to be addressed immediately .

One Air Force Veteran Cpl.G.Rajendran was sanctioned sanctioned pension after a lapse of 39 years.  The Air Force Association Thanjavur had taken all out efforts to correspond to the concerned authorities and got his pension sanctioned after 39 years.

The untiring efforts of Sgt.S.Shanmugam of Peralam was instrumental in getting his pension.

We appreciate the services done by Sgt.S.Shanmugam of Peralam.  The Exwel Trust is proud of such air veterans serving for the veterans.

CIRCULAR ISSUED FOR REVISION OF PENSION- PRE-2006 RETIREES-CENTRAL CIVIL PENSIONERS..

Government order for Revising the pension for Pre-2006 civilians retirees were issued on 30-7-2015.

Now, PCDA has released the Circular  C-144 dated 14-8-2015 for Revision of pension  and disbursement of arrears to Central civil and Defence Civilian pensioners  from 1-1-2006 instead of 24-9-2012..

Similar Orders for Defence pensioners also may be expected soon.

VETERANS GO ON FAST UNTO DEATH--UNFORTUNATE.

It is unfortunate that  our VETERANS on Relay Hunger Strike ARE CONSTRAINED  to GO for
 FAST UNTO DEATH - as there is no positive response from our PM, DM and FM.

Two days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's failure to announce the One-Rank, One-Pension scheme despite an in-principle agreement in his Independence Day speech, the Army veterans agitating at Jantar Mantar for two months began a fast-unto-death on Monday

Two Army veterans - one a retired Colonel and another former Havaldar - have given up food at New Delhi's Jantar Mantar until the OROP is sanctioned. Black flags were also hoisted at the protest hotspot.

YET ANOTHER WIDOW PENSIONER HELPED

Smt. Krishnammal is expressing her thanks to our Liaison Officer Sgt.S.Kanthiah.

 During our casual interaction with Widows  in the Canteen, we came to know that the

 Under mentioned Widow is being paid less pension.

Name: Smt.Krishnammal    W/O Late Mookiah,  Rank: HAV    Gp- D    QS: 24 yrs.

PDA: Central Bank of India,  Tirunelveli-Dist. TN.

On going through the pass book entries, it was noticed that she is being paid a Basic pension of Rs.3500 instead of Rs,4425 w.e.f 24-9-2012.

Immediately, we informed the PDA about the discrepancy and he was kind enough to agree with our findings and assured to revise the pension and pay the arrears soon.

The innocent widow was happy with our action and sincerely thanked us for this timely help.

OurTrust is satisfied  of having helped one more widow.
