CONFUSION IN ARRIVING THE RATE OF NOTIONAL PAY- CIR 608

CONFUSING FORMULA – CDA CIR 608-CONCORDANCE TABLES.

We all know that our CGDA has prepared  217 Concordance Tables for Defence Services   vide  CDA cir 608.

There is a confusion in the method of arriving the Rates- 

The formula adopted  is not understood-

For example – Take Table no.13  for Air Force Sergeant  Group- X. I

The scale of Pay is give from 1-1-1986  to 31-12-2015- various 5 stages.

 In the first and 2^nd stages , we understand – vertically down ward  lines-

 1460 to 1860  and 4670 to 5945. There is increment  effected.

But in Stage 3,  starting  @  5000 and goes down for 7 steps with no increment-

In our understanding ,  fitment is=  5000X1.86=9300 +2800=12100-

This is from 01-01-2006 to 31-12-2015—Vertically downward

The Notional Pay arrived as 31900 as on 01-01-2016.

This  rate goes for about 7 steps vertically downward which is not understood. 

 Why there is no change or increment.

What is the formula adopted in arriving the Rates in Tables.

We feel there is no uniformity in fixing the Notional Pay    .It is confusing..

All our ESM Associations and Organisations are requested to go through the tables and express the views  to the Authorities..
