ANOTHER GREAT ACHIEVEMENT OF OUR TRUST.

ANOTHER GREAT ACHIEVEMENT  OF OUR TRUST

Smt.K.Anandhi is expressing her sincere thanks to our Trust members at our Trust Office.

We took up a case of  a Divorced daughter  for family pension after the death of both the parents.
Name: Smt. K,Anandhi  Divorced .D/O Late EK.Samy.   Rank: PO of Navy   (87677.)

After death of EK.Samy, his wife was drawing her pension.  In the mean time,
Smt.Anandhi applied for Divorce  from her husband due misunderstanding and came to her mother and was living..  The case was going on.
During the pendency of the case, the mother also died. The divorce order came after the death of mother.
We represented the case to Naval authorities for Family pension . but they returned the application stating that she was not dependent on her mother  on the date of decree of Divorce.
We wrote to MOD, DESW and Dte. Of Naval Affairs  in this regard.

Govt.has issued order  for eligibility  for such cases – i.e  if the Divorce order initiated when any one of the parent is alive, the Divorced daughter is eligible for pension even though the decree was released  after the death  of parent.

On this base, we , again sent the claim and had correspondences.

Now, the Lady is sanctioned with ordinary Family pension  under Divorced Daughter case. Vide PPO.No: F/ NA / 00569/ 2018.

The Lady is so happy on receipt of the PPO and sincerely thanked us for all the help and guidance from our Welfare Trust.

This is a great achievement for our Trust after  about 3 years of our sustained efforts.

DISCREPANCY IN DATE OF BIRTH IN BANK RECORDS

Of late  ,we have come to know  from our veterans
that the date of birth  recorded in Bank Records  is
different from actual date of birth.

This is noticed  when the pension details  is taken from  computers.

The Date of birth is incorrect or  jumbled.
For example:
1.     Actual DOB as per
      Discharge book/ Aadhar card/ PAN card -19-12-1942
But in Bank record , it is  42/19/1912-   not understood.

2.     Actual DOB as per discharge book;    01-02-1939
But in the Bank  Record it is -05/02/1952- no idea.
3.      In one case, Actual date of birth –7-12-1943
But in Bank record , it is  25-7-1929- from where this detail came . Nobody knows.
This  veteran is being paid additional pension.
We had  reported this to his CPPC, SBI, but they need a revised PPO indicating the Date of birth., which is embracing.

NOTE:  CDA cir 430, para 7.2 says, the DOB given in th Discharge certificate may taken by Banks  as actual DOB  .But Bank officials  demand a PPO for confirmation of DOB which is not reasonable.
Like wise, there are many such discrepancies

DOB is required to get Additional pension – on completion of 80Yrs of age. And for Enhanced rate of Family pension.

The format for  date  should be

Either   DD / MM / YYYY    OR    YYYY/MM/DD

But here it is very much different.

All our veterans are requested to obtain Pension Slip from Bank and confirm your date of birth  and if there is any difference , inform your bank with correct DOB  along with a copy of Discharge Book, PPO, School certificate , Aadhar card  etc.

CIRCULAR ISSUED FOR MINIMUM PENSION OF RS.18000

CDA CIRCULARS 618  RELEASED  FOR MINIMUM PENSION OF RS.18000- FOR CASUALTY PENSIONARY AWARDS / SFP/ LFP/

PCDA  has issued a circular 618 dated  13-3-2019   for the Minimum rate of pension for causality/  Special / Liberalised Family pensioners .
The Rate  18000  is both inclusive of Service Element and Disability element.
Only very few veterans are benefited with very meager amount.

But, here is a confusion,  as to how to adjust the difference  , that Is to say , on which element it is to be added..

For Example:
One Sepoy  of Group Y   Qualifying service  say  1 yrs.
Service element  as per OROP  (cir 555-table-7)  is…5230.00
Disability element @ 50%......(cir 555 table 76)    is..1755.00.

As per 7th CPC –SE   is revised  as 5230X2.57…….13442.00
  Disability @ 50% is revised as 1755X2.57…………  4510.00
                            Total of SE + DE……………………..   17952.00
Now  as per the circular, the minimum shall not be less than Rs.18000/-
Here the difference is    18000 -17952= 48    w.e.f  01-01-2016

The doubt is in which element this 48 to be adjusted.  SE  or  DE.
This factor may affect the future revisions.
Though the affected veterans are very few, the fact remains the same.

Same way, Special family pension  as per OROP  minimum- 7000
As per 7th CPC it is  ..,,,,,,,7000 X 2.57……………….=17990
As per this circular ……….18000-   Difference is only Rs10=
Similarly  for Liberalised Family pension also  - 17990/-Diff-Rs.10/-
There is  no benefit of this circular .
Our veterans are requested to think over.
