ATTENTION VETERAN BROTHERS SERIES- 44 - SPARSH -TYPE OF PENSION

SPARSH- IDENTIFICATION  OF TYPE OF DEFENCE PENSION

So far, we were able to identify the Types of pension  by PPO numbers  with Prefix/ Suffix

For example:  

Service pension………………….S/ 12345/84

Ord.Family pension……………F/ NA / 12345/84

Special Family pension………F /12345/84                                                      

Liberalised Family pension…F/ BC / 12345/84

Diability   Element……………. D/12345/84    or D/RA/ 12345/84

War Injury Element……………D/ BC/ 12345/84   and so on

 

Then, the PPOs are Digitalized  by the  EPPO. With 16 digits, each number indicating  different characters’      For Example:      1 85 2016 00216 --0199.  Where, No.1 for  Army, 85 for Code of AMC Record, 2016 year of discharge  and next 5 digits for running PPO number – Last 4 digits for Type of pension.    No.1 for Army    2 for Navy   and 3 for Air Force.

Example:    

            EPPO for Ord,Family pension:     185201600216-3000

                          Spl. Family pension  :     185201600216-3300

            Liberalised   family pension……  185201600216-3700  likewise for all the types of pension.

This was reasonable and every veterans and families understood.

Now, the New System SPARSH  has replaced both the previous  methods.

Here , we can not find out the type of pension by the Number.   We can know  with the copy of PPO only.   There,  the original PPO number is not mentioned.   No separate number for  Army, Navy  and Air Force-  Only running serial number-

Comparing the previous system, SPARSH system is not appreciable.

The LEGACY system  had  three components-  PENSION SANCTION AUTHORITY (PSA),

 PENSION PROCESSING  CENTER (CPPC)  AND PENSION DISBURSING AGENCY  (PDA)

Now, as per SPARSH, there is only one, All in One system,  PSA, CPPC and PDA. All in one system from PCDA, Allahabd only.   The Pension account in the Bank will be as normal savings account  with the normal customers . Pension will be credited by CDA, we can draw  and go away.  Bank has no role to play in  any discrepancy in pension matter.

Any grievances, we have to approach SPARSH only , by way of  ONLINE .

We know that, all , particularly widow pensioners are not aware of this  Smart Phones, they have to  approach  some outsiders  by spending money.  Sparsh  says, there are so many CSC  Common Service Centers  throughout   the country, but not yet established.

One case recently noticed: 

One Subedar,  Group-X  28 yrs of service, discharged in 2016.

His paper was  Migrated to SPARSH, and he received the message, with User ID and Pass word in the month of November 2021..

He followed the method and  Logged in to the system  and got his   SPARSH PPO  copy.

His Basic pension is mentioned  as 30200 and other  elements.   His pension was  credited to his account.  But he was receiving  lesser amount as per original PPO.

Now from  the Month of April 2022, his Basic pension is reduced  to 14613, no idea ,  the reason for reduction  not known..  The Sub tried to contact on all given Phone numbers but in vain.

If, One learned  Subedar  has faced  such  problem, what will be condition for  a widow pensioners.

 Bank officials say, we have no idea about this.   We also came to know from some others that, the grievances mechanism is not responding.    THIS IS THE POSITION.
