STATUS OF ASSURED DECENT LAST RITES SCHEME (ADLRS) AS ON DATE

STATUS OF ASSURED DECENT LAST RITES (ADLRS) SCHEME.

This scheme was introduced from May 2006,  with  a very good intention of paying  a respect and Decent Last Rites to our deceased veterans on  the funeral day.

A respectable honour was given to our Deceased veterans  on their Funeral Function  by placing a WREATH   on the dead body /  coffin  by a representative form  URC
( Unit Run Canteen), whether managed by Army, Navy or Air Force  so far.
This happening / action was very much appreciated by general public  at the Funeral function.
Unfortunately,  this procedure is altered now, for unknown reasons.

That is, this honour is given to only  Army veterans if the Canteen is Run by Army,   declining  the respect for other TWO forces, Navy and Air Force.
Like wise, the canteens Run by Air Force  and Navy .

In fact, veterans from all three forces are  Members of  each URC.
The profit earned is  from all the members of Army, Navy and Air Force.

When such is the case, why this discrimination -  In our opinion, this  action may be DUE to some superiority  Complex or EGOISM.

By this  act, the purpose of a NOBLE SCHEME  is defeated.

We have represented  to all the Three Directorate of three services,
Quarter master Generals,  IHQ of MOD Army   BUT NO favourable reply.

Now, at least we fervently request our Military Authorities, to forgo their thinking  whether complex or Egoism,  and extend the Noble scheme  by  placing  a WREATH on the coffin  to a minimum honour.

The demise Grant may be claimed from their respective Record Offices later on.

The Honouring shall be equal and common to all the veterans of all three forces with out any discrimination.

All our ESM Associations and Organisations are requested to represent the issue to our Military Authorities from their  areas.
