RESTORATION OF
LIBERALISED FAMILY PENSION TO WIDOWS
WHO GOT REMARRIED BEFORE 01-01-1996
Some widows who were granted with Liberalised
Family pension got remarried to person
other than the real brother of the deceased soldier prior to 1-1-1996;. On this
re-marriage, their LFP was stopped and converted to Ordinary Family pension..
Government has considered
their case sympathetically and issued an
order for RESTORATION of
Liberalised Family pension to them :
vide GOI. MOD
letter No: 1 (1)/ 2001/ D ( Pen-c) dated 24-6-2005.
The affected widows
can apply to G-4 section of PCDA , through their Record Offices / They are eligible even if they have children,
Supporting them/ Non supporting them .
They have to apply as per
Annexure- B format
of Cir 620.
The effective date for
this benefit is from 24-6-2005 only.
All our ESM Associations
and Organisations are requested to guide and help such affected widows in their areas.
