MINIMUM PENSION OF 18000 FOR CASUALITY PENSIOARY AWARDS.

ILLUSTRATION REGARDING MINIMUM PENSION OF RS.18000. 

REF:  MOD Ltr.No: 16(3)/2017/D(Pen/ Pol ) dated 29-01-2019

This order is applicable  to Disability/ War injury pensioners and

Special  and Liberalised Family pensioners only.

Service element + Disability/War injury element  shall not be

 less than Rs.18000 –

Same way  Special  and Liberalised Family pension  also

 shall not be less than 18000 per month,

Example  for  a Rank of Sepoy    Group- Y-

 Qualifying service  say  1.5 yrs.

As per OROP and 7 th CPC-

Table No .7 of OROP- SE=  5230  X 2.57=13442………….(1)

 Table No 76 of OROP-DE -100%-3510 X 2.57= 9020

Now DE is 50% minimum

 hence    50 % for this  case= 9020/2- 4510(2)

Here , as per MOD -SE + DE=  13442 + 4510= 17952 ..(2) -

Eligible amount is  Rs.18000, hence difference is only Rs.48/-

Then for more than  1.5 yrs of service, there is no benefit.

Same way for  Special Family pension-

   For  the Rank of Sep-  Gp- Y  QS: up to 5yrs.

As per  OROP Table No: 34   the  rate is….7000

As per 7^th cpc………                7000X 2.57= 17990.

Eligible Minimum amount is 18000---difference is only Rs.10/

There is no benefit for more than 5 yrs of service.

For Liberalised Family pensioners: 

As per OROP  table No: 52….Sep-  gp y  QS; 1 yr.  10460

As per 7^th CPC,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,10460X2.57…26882…

Eligible minimum  amount is 18000,……no benefit. 

This is effective from 01-01-2016.
