ONE MORE DISABILITY PENSIONER HELPED FOR BROAD BANDING.

Veteran NK.Periasamy showing the Revised PPO to our Managing Trustee Sgt.R.Chellappa .

On our on going visits and interactions, we noticed that one Disability pensioner was Invalided out on disability pension.

Name: NK.Periasamy Reg.No: 6874411 A, Rank: Hav.
PPO.No: DE/CORR/ 046366/2011
PDA: Canara bank, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli-Dist, TN.

On scrutinising the Discharge certificate and the PPO, it was noticed that he was sanctioned with 20% Disability pension with Invalided out Clause. Hence he was eligible for Broad banding of Disability pension.

We prepared the applicable Annexure and sent it to CDA through his Record office.
Now the Revised PPO is received with Broad banding, enhancing the Disability element from 20% to 50%, that is from rs.702/- to 1755/- with effect from 1-7-2009.

The veteran NK.Periasamy was very happy and called on us and expressed his sincere thanks for this valuable help.

TRUST VISITING THE HOME FOR BLIND OLD WOMEN

The Hand pankas and Mosquitos reppelent refill
Our Trust members addressing the inmates.

The inmates are performing a Prayer.

Members of our Trust visited the Home for Blind aged women .

There are about 35 inmates, all of them are above 65 yrs of age.

We had visited many times earlier and offered them their daily needs like tooth past, brush, bathing soap and washing soap.

Now as there is power cut in our area, and no power supply for a long time in the days, and it very hot. Hence, we supplied the inmates the urgent need of “Hand Pankas” to each one of them. We also supplied them with Mosquito’s repellent refills as we had already supplied them with Mosquito’s repellent motors earlier.

The aged women were very happy and chatted with us for more than half an hour as we were already known to them. They thanked us for the timely supply of Hand Pankas and performed a special prayer for the Hale, healthy and long life of all the Trust members.

RAIL RUKO AGITATION BY EXSERVICEMEN

RAIL ROKO AGITATION BY EX-SERVICEMEN
"RAIL ROKO" AGITATION BY EX-SERVICEMEN
EX-SERVICEMEN GRIEVANCES CELL, MOHALI
ON 25 MAR 2012.

Rail Roko

By Ex-Servicemen to fight for Justice

At Maur Mandi, (near Bathinda) on 25 March
at 11amFor

One Rank One Pension, resettlement,
Gross neglect & allied problems
Being faced by ESM Community

A token Rail Roko protest is being Org only for 2 Hours
by Capt BS Bhatti, Hav Bhola Singh & all ESM Org/ NGOs of Pb & around. Govt have forgotten our sacrifices & dedicated selfless services to the Nation.

The intended action is apparently indicative of the frustration resulting out of the government apathy and continued stonewalling of our just demands. That frustration and anger is understandable. However, the pros and cons of the proposed ‘rail roko’ need to be analyzed by both the Government and the agitating men. The Government should resolve the issues of Ex-servicemen at the earliest

WE REGRET FOR THE INCONVENIENCE CAUSED TO THE PUBLIC DURING THE TIME OF AGITATION.

LET THE GOVERNMENT RESOLVE THE ISSUE AT THE EARLIEST.

Our sincere thanks to Indianexserviceman blog.

ONE MORE SPECIAL FAMILY PENSIONER TRACED.

Daughter of Smt.Santhanammal is expressing sincere thanks to our Managing Trustee Sgt.R.Chellappa on behalf of her mother.

YET ANOTHER SPECIAL FAMILY PENSIONER TRACED AND HELPED.

During our ongoing intensive search for the short payments, we had identified yet another case of Special Family Pension drawing un revised Pension..

Name: Smt.Santhanammal W/O Chockalimgam Pillai Rank: Sep Reg.No: 127576
PPO.NO: F/ 2727/1974.
PDA: Canara bank, BeachRoad, Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu.

After through scrutinizing of the available records , we noticed that she is being paid a Basic pension of rs.5763/- instead of rs.7000/- with effect from 1-1-2006.
We immediately contacted the PDA and appraised them about the discrepancy. The bank officials readily accepted our findings and agreed to revise the pension during the Month of April 2012.

It is saddening to know that the poor Widow had delivered SEVEN children and except one daughter, all them died during their youth period due to illness and poor income , the meager pension. As of now, she has only a lone surviving daughter who is looking after her in this 83 yrs of age.

The innocent poor widow was immensely happy of our service and thanked us for this kind of help to family pensioners and wished for a Healthy long life for the Trust Members.

WE SHOULD NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO DEGRADE OUR STATUS

"We should not allow anyone to degrade our status"

My Dear Ex-Servicemen,

The Sacrifice and Service we rendered to this Nation has become a subject of ridicule. In a petition to the Govt of Tamilnadu, the Civilian Employees Union of the Ex-Servicemen Directorate, has stated that the Ex-Services Officers appointed by the Govt. in the Directorate as the Assistant Directors, are drunkards, bribe takers (corrupt) and lack civility in dealing with the women employees ( sexual harassment). Therefore, the Ex-Servicemen do not deserve to be employed in such appointments, which should be reserved only to the Civilian Staff.

One cannot fathom such a vengeful attitude towards the Ex-Servicemen, who are employed in the Directorate, which is supposed to look after the Welfare of their own tribe. We shudder to even think about such an attitude from the Civilian Staff employed to look after our ESM. With this kind of hatred, what assistance the ESM can expect from the Civilian Staff, posted in these offices. The Govt should at the earliest reconsider the policy of appointing the Civilians in the ESM Welfare Directorates and Offices throughout the State.

We have already sent our views to the Secretary, ESM Dept. Those Veterans who are reading this message, especially the Office bearers of ESM Associations, must come down heavily on the derogatory remarks made by the Civilian Staff Union. We request all the ESM Associations to take up this as the prestige issue and embark on and/ or support a Rally being organised by us to condemn such nefarious activity. Our Phone Nos: 9894152959, 9894125019, 9786449036.

Read this appeal in Tamil in previous post.
